DeMarcus Cousins called New York Knicks owner James Dolan a “cheap-ass owner.” In the eyes of most observers, his comments are justified. The Knicks have just won an NBA championship, and Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT), their F/C, wants to get paid. However, owner James Dolan is playing hardball in contract negotiations with KAT.
Cousins says this may be a contributing factor in the Knicks’ 1–3 start to the season.
He has a point: the Knicks clearly have the right team chemistry in the Eastern Conference.
Every player competes for a championship, and the players who win them should be properly compensated.
