Superstar Rod Wave just released a new album 8/28/26 and is doing interview’s to promote his new project “Don’t Look Down”. While on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe. Rod was asked about the Boosie lawsuit against him.

Rod made a slight joke of the situtation.

Now at this point I’m starting to think, it’s promotion after Rod’s reaction to the X post.

I have no knowledge if it’s promo. I just know rap is close to wrestling.

Boosie starts to catch some static from Rod Wave fans over not taking the $100,000 that Rod Wave says he offered Boosie.

Boosie then said people that are taking Wave side of things. Don’t understand creating something then having it taken away.

I see his point but disagree with it.

Rod Wave did business with the owner of the records, not the creator of the records. I don’t think he’s being fair to Rod Wave and I also think Rod should take him out on few show dates. If he is a big of fan of Boosie.

Rod Wave on Music Ownership

This sparks a new debate over music ownership. Rod Wave says older generations don’t understand the business side of music.

On the private jet Rod says “people before us and supposing to be teaching us”, “they still lost, and blaming the world” , “how can I pay you something I don’t owe you”

Rod paid the owner of Boosie Badazz music publisher that owns the music.

Hip Hop is made from sampling and if Boosie hasn’t reached out to every person on songs, he’s sampled from and them gave them something then he can’t talk.

I like to believe that these two music stars are smart and this is just promotion but you never know.
