I write about the game while watching the game. Minnesota Timberwolves can change my mind about the series with win today.

First quarter

This quarter was the most balance quarter in this series. OKC Thunder ended the quarter with a seven point lead. The look like two prize fighters feeling each other out.

Second Quarter

Minnesota defense is creating easy buckets for the Wolves. Anthony Edwards hasn’t really been a factor so far this game. I’m thinking the coach is using him as a decoy, due to OKC defense being keyed in on him. The refs are finally letting Minnesota play defense with same manner OKC is allowed.

The biggest difference in this first half is the rebounding. The Timberwolves only had 3 offensive rebounds, until 3 minutes left in the half of the game. Then they doubled the offensive rebound count before the end of the half.

The refs still are giving all 50-50 calls to the Thunder for some odd reason. I’ll you guess that reason seems fishy though.

Third Quarter

Anthony Edwards came out of halftime more aggressive and that opens the floor for Minnesota shooters. Edwards is missing three pointers to the point, I’m yelling drive the ball. He instead passes the ball to Donte DiVincenzo, who makes 2 three pointers back to back to tie the game up.

They ended the quarter down by 5 and that’s a good deal with them having 19 turnovers in the game at this point.

Fourth Quarter

Anthony Edwards needs to have to have a superstar quarter, if the Timberwolves are gonna have a chance at winning. The rest of the team is doing their part but with 8:16 left in the 4th he needs to get going asap. As I write he misses another 3 and is spending to much time complaining to the ref for a foul.

If Minnesota loses this game it will be Edwards fault. He keep leaving Caruso open under the basket for easy buckets. If your offense is garbage at least play defense. The refs aren’t making it any easier for the Timberwolves though.

Anthony finished with 16 points and a uninspiring effort. He doesn’t want to be the face of the NBA and in my opinion he is doing the NBA a favor. The Timberwolves star needs more time to grow and mature. He plays like he is just happy to be in the league and that’s enough for him. Losing just doesn’t seem to bother like it does most hungry NBA players.
