Born November 4, 2000 in Dallas Texas. Maxey is proof that good things come to those who wait. Maxey’s journey wasn’t without challenges though his freshman season at Kentucky was caught short. Due to the pandemic forcing him to declare for the 2020 NBA draft. The 76ers took a chance on the 21st overall pick. It didn’t take long for Maxey to make an impact.

In his very first start when the Sixers was down to the league minimum eight players. Maxey dropped 39 points on 18 for 33 shooting. The most by Sixers rookie since Allan Iverson. That performance instantly put him on the coaching staff’s radar. Over his second and third Seasons Maxey steadily grew into a core player for the Sixers. Playing professionally in Lithuania and Australia where he won NBA Rookie of the Year in 2020. This unique journey prepared him for the big stage and the Hornet selected him third overall in 2020.

Known for his hop, dunks and highlight reel plays. Ja’s Journey to the NBA is a story of underdog success. Despite being under recruited in high school he dominated that Murray State University. Averaging 24 points five rebounds and 10 assists in the sophomore year. That stella play earned him first team All-American honors and made him the second overall pick in the 2019 draft.

Ja won NBA 2020 Rookie of the Year award. Since since then he’s only gotten better becoming a two-time All-Star. Leading the Grizzlies to back to back playoff appearances in 2022 and 2023. Edward burst on to the scene as the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. He’s been making waves ever since in his second season. Edwards made history multiple times after he became the youngest player ever to hit 10 three-pointers in a game.

Taking the top spot on our list is San Antonio Spurs generational Talent Victor Wembanyama. Born January 4th 2004, in France Victor is the most hype prospect since LeBron James. Wemby is already living up to the buzz. Standing with that 74 wing span is a unicorn in every sense of the word. Honestly calling him a unicorn might not even do him justice. Wemby looks like he was built in a basketball lab. lol.

In 2023 his final season overseas he averaged 21 points 10 rebounds and three blocks. Showcasing his versatility and dominance got him drafted first overall in the 2023 NBA draft.

Victor immediately became the centerpiece of the Spurs rebuild. Midway through his sophomore season he’s already solidified himself as the most singular forces this year. He’s averaging 26 points 11 rebounds four assists and the league leading 3.9 blocks per game by shooting 61% from the floor let’s put that in perspective.

Only two players Hakeem Olaguwon and David Robinson. have averaged 25 points 10 rebounds three blocks and one steal per game. Neither of those two did it before the age of 22. Victor is just 20 but it’s not just that make Wemby special.
