Dart’s 29-yard touchdown strike to Lil’Jordan Humphrey against the Bills, it was a glimpse into what the Giants hoped for when they traded up to take him 25th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. He showed poise, arm strength, and the confidence to take a shot all traits this team needed under center.

Yes, he was facing a mix of backups and fringe roster guys. But preseason is about traits, not stats, and Dart flashed the kind of traits that make coaches and fans start imagining “what if.”

With Russell Wilson’s better days behind him and Jameis Winston, it’s not wild to think Dart could get his shot sooner rather than later.
