Terry McLaurin, the Washington Commanders star wide receiver, is in the final year of his three-year, $68.2 million contract extension signed in 2022, with a base salary of $15.5 million and only $2.8 million guaranteed for 2025. He’s seeking a new long-term deal, but negotiations have stalled. Upon arrival, he was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list due to an ankle injury. On July 31, 2025, McLaurin reportedly requested a trade, signaling frustration over the lack of progress in contract talks.
