Watching the Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder play in a 3-1 Western conference finals series. Is just like watching the nature channel knowing the prey is already dead and it’s final moments, are purely for our entertainment.
First Quarter
Minnesota has played flat most of this series and tonight’s start is the same. The Timberwolves role players are being let down by the stars of the team. A team feeds off the leaders and Julius Randle body language is sounding like Marshawn Lynch “I’m just here, so I won’t get fined”
Minnesota scored 9 points in the first with their season on the line. Fans will always support a team if they go down swinging. This squad isn’t even keeping their guard up right now. You can tell they don’t want to take a chance at losing the Western Conference Finals on their home floor. So they are nailing it in.
Second quarter
This quarter is proving the words above true, instead of making me wrong which I would love to have happen. This game is ugly as Jaja Binks in a bathing suit for the wolves. The bright spot they have double their first quarter scoring. Meanwhile OKC is hunting like a pack of wolves. Big Pun intended.
The Anthony Edwards is like Michael Jordan talk should be laid to rest tonight. Randle can’t even handle simple passes right now. He keeps complaining to the refs and his head isn’t in the game.
Third quarter
Minnesota decided to fight back in this quarter. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and crew have the jab working overtime. To the point Naz Reid hit SGA with the shoulder lean pit. Which he should’ve gave to him in Game 1 to set the tone. Instead it will be the only reason you see him on the highlight reel tonight.
Fourth Quarter
Fourth is just a formality and celebration for the fans. OKC fans have been standing most of the quarter. Congrats to them it’s well earned. Just hope the NBA officials stop giving the defensive leeway while punishing their opponents for playing the exact same way.
