The New York Knicks are 12 and 8 after their first 20 games to start the season. Knicks reporters are a bunch of whatchamacallits. 

Complaining about Mikal Bridges and Karl Anthony Towns before they play their first 20 games together as a team. 

Despite all the that the Knicks have the are fourth in the Eastern Conference. They went 7 and 3 in their last ten games. 

Breakdown of Team Play

Let me break it down

The Knicks have the best offensive rating in the NBA at 121.1 

Coach Thibs is finding out which line ups work better together against different opponents and that’s takes time people. I just don’t the loudness of the complaints when the team is 12 and 8. If they were 8 and 12 you have a point. 

Now, I’m used to New York reporters complaining, but the casual fans who don’t watch games are magnifying their crazy talking points. I haven’t watch all these games but the ones I have watched this is my personal assessment.

Things are not clicking like you want them to but you can see the growth. From game 1 to game 20.By the time the playoffs roll around they will be ready for a championship push.

Players season stats

Karl Anthony Towns now playing the center position increased his rebounding, He now averages 13 rebounds a game his average stayed in single digits while playing for Timberwolves. He’s also averaging 25 a game and let’s talk about his three pointers the big man is shooting a crazy 45% from the 3 point line and how that spreads the floor for Brunson to operate the offense.

Jalen Brunson is also averaging 25 a game and 7.9 assist I’ll just say 8 assists a game that’s his highest ever assist average of his seven year career. Brunson and Towns are on track to be the first guard-center duo. To each average 25 points per game or more since Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. Brunson the team’s MVP last year has already call KAT the teams MVP so far this year.

OG Anunoby the team leading defender and with Kat being a sorta defensive liability the team needs him to be the all pro defender he is. OG is also averaging 17 points a game even through he’s get the least touches among players. He is still third on the team scoring. He’s is capable of doing this by cutting to the basket off the ball. A very under rated skill in the NBA.

Mikal Bridges who caught the most flack. Just had a big night against the Pelicans scoring the 31 points in the defeat New Orleans. His defense does have to get better. Best believe under Thibs who loves a defensive project. Soon he will be at least decent on defense by the all star break. Decent means giving a 100 effort on defense that’s it. 

Josh Hart is the spark that gets the team going. I wanna call him the heart of the team but it seems a little corny even though it fits. He’s averaging 13 points a game. Between him and Duece McBride it is a tie for the energy the bring to the teams game play.

In Conclusion

Teams that win championships. Take chances and giving up four first rounds and some more to acquire Mikal Bridges. Gives the Knicks the opportunity to compete with teams like the Boston Celtics, for a trip to finals. Were the team they meet will be well rounded just like the team they have built.
