This cold winter day, gave me an opportunity to sit still and reflect on this moment in time. In just about eight months from now, we will electing the next President of the United States. So these days we the people are being bombarded with advertisements on social networks and media outlets trying to influence our voting direction. Media outlets controlled by billionaires with mouthpiece henchman and women (Morning Joe, The View) posing as the voice of people with hopes of keeping the status quo, while income equality is the highest its ever been. In 2019 Presidential campaigns spent an estimated 32 million in revenue on Facebook ads, which allows candidates to run blatantly false ads while running for president or any public office.

The best way I feel we can fight back against the Media Minions is to record what we see through our own lenses. How often do you turn on a political show and hear someone speaking from your point of view? Never, that’s because your p.o.v. goes against the owners of the networks and the opinion host or “journalist” who kiss their asses points of view.

So now street journalism is in full effect! People that don’t go to politicians weddings or their kids birthday parties. We are the ones who have to voice our thoughts and opinions about the current political climate. There is no way we can expect objective news stories from people that benefit directly from friends controlling major government institutions.

Writing is a great format for me to record my perspective. The reason I write is because, I have absoluty no aspirations of becoming a great writer, journalist or anything in between. I will learn the proper structuring of writing articles and blog post, but for right now recording history is the most important part to me.

Pandoras box is wide open, no more gatekeepers holding back thoughts and ideas that do not serve their purpose of controlling the masses for selfish benefits. Generations yet to come will be able to capture a true sense of what was going on during this period of time. Something that was never possible.

Imagine having a twitter during the Great Depression or Native Americans blogging during their genocide “Trail of Tears” recorded. Names of people recorded that lynched and burn down black wall street in Oklahoma and all of the land stolen from blacks in America. Having to imagine is no longer necessary, its time to write, record and speak out about the people on the wrong side of “his- story” also those on the right side of the story.

Video and Audio are also great forms of recording history. It really doesn’t matter, which way you choose to record history, just make sure you are you doing it. Everyone’s perspective is important and unique to their circumstances. Especially the voices not often represented in the mainstream media, Al Sharpton who is 65 cannot speak for someone who is 45 black and progressive or vice versa. So, I ask everyone to please record your point of view for the record.
