Clipping is taking a segment of live online stream or long form video and breaking it down to the highlights clips. This practice is done by all smart fans. It’s just another promotional vehicle.
The problem with clipping clowns. Drake has more of an online suburban audience that has very little, if anyone control on street culture, besides being able to manufacture hype thru “clipping”.
No one really cared about clipping until Akademiks and Drake starting popping off like running the algorithm is running culture which is BS.
In what way has Drake set any trend?
Half the hip hop culture been saying he corny from day one.
Most greats locked down the scene at least for moment. He had a moment real quick but after Wayne went to jail he was all Bath & Body works after that.
You Could Never Run Culture
A canadian rapper who sued over lines in a hip hop song and a transplant from Jamaica. Who love key hates (FBA) foundational black Americans because he didn’t grow a set of balls until he had money to pay for protection.
Ain’t none of that gonna run the culture. Iceman had a big splash on the internet but very small ripple effects in the streets.
So yeah Brandon and Sabrina are banging Drake after leaving Starbucks but that just doesn’t have that much of an impact on culture.
